All About Me

Heath has chocolate brindle coloring and beautiful deep-brown eyes.

Heath has a sweet and gentle spirit, and is a true gentleman with excellent manners. He is affectionate, with a low-key, easygoing personality. Heath enjoys strolls around the neighborhood and car rides. He is happy listening to the sound of children's voices, observing goings-on around him, checking out what's on television and, most of all, being with his people, preferably close by their side.

Health

Heath is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. He tested positive for heartworm, and is being treated with a slow protocol that begins with 28 days of doxcycline and Heartgard twice during the first month, followed by twice-a-month Heartgard. This method gradually clears the heartworm infection without the need for excessive confinement. Most dogs will test negative for heartworm within a year using this method.

History

Heath came from a rural shelter.
