12 year old • Female • 55 lbs
Princess Dixie Violet (Dixie) has short fur with a brown and white pattern. One of her eyes is brown and the other blue.
Princess Dixie Violet is a sweet and friendly dog who accepts everyone she meets immediately. She is also a Velcro dog--meaning once you start to pet her, she will lean against you and not want you to stop! She is an older lady, and would do well in a home without children, with an owner who will be gentle with her, and without cats.

Princess Dixie Violet is up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed. She is receiving the gentle protocol of an initial 28 days of doxycyline and twice per month heartgard, followed by continued twice a month heartgard. This method gradually clears the heartworm infection without the need for excessive confinement. Most dogs will test negative for heartworms within a year using this method. She also takes a daily allergy medication, and needs once-weekly baths with medicated shampoo.
Princess Dixie Violet was rescued by a Good Samaritan.
