All About Me

Andre is light tan with very short, velvet-soft fur. He has a big, cute head, a white chest, gray around his light brown eyes and mouth, and a thin white stripe down his face.

Andre has a very sweet, calm personality. He has never met a person he didn't like, and he is respectful of other dogs and good at playing nicely. He doesn't know any tricks quite yet, but he is trying hard to learn and adapts quickly. Andre loves his toys (especially ropes) and is for the most part a couch potato. He smiles when you pet him and likes to take it very slow on walks. He is housebroken, has never damaged anything when left alone, and sleeps through the night in his crate. Andre loves to be outside in a fenced-in yard so that he can roll around (very cutely) in the grass.

Health

Andre is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. He is heartworm positive and is receiving the gentle protocol of 28 days of doxycyline and twice per month Heartgard. This method gradually clears the heartworm infection without the need for excessive confinement. Most dogs will test negative for heartworms within a year using this method. Because of his condition, Andre needs to be in a home without a high level of excitement and walks should be kept slow and brief.

History

Andre was found as a stray.
