Honey Girl has a short and glossy tricolor coat to complement her dark, gentle eyes and long, soft ears. She appears in all ways to be a Treeing Walker Coonhound (or mix of).

Honey Girl is affectionate, easy-going, and social with everyone. All who meet her comment, “She is so sweet!” Honey Girl was not accustomed to life inside a home when she came to foster care but is now housetrained. She is an intelligent dog, eager to excel in obedience training. She loves her toys but will chew things she shouldn’t if not given good alternatives. Honey Girl will alert you to someone approaching your home but is not a nuisance barker.<p>Honey Girl is 100% hound dog in her behavior. She scans the air for scents, sniffs everything on walks, and chases squirrels whether on or off the leash. Active and energetic, with great propelling leverage, Honey is a known escape artist. Like any hound, she will follow her nose fast and far if given the opportunity. She will do best in a home with a very secure fenced yard and a family that is vigilant to keep her safe from wandering.
