Health

Bella is an otherwise healthy and happy girl. However, when we took her for a vet visit, we found out that Bella has severe cataracts and she occasionally bumps into things. The vet calls them Cocker Cataracts and this is very common to the Cocker Spaniel breed. The surgery is estimated at $1,920 and we have already raised $200 towards it. We are hoping to raise more funds so that Bella can have surgery as soon as possible because the vet anticipates that she'll be virtually blind in 6 months without it. Won't you please help Bella to see another beautiful sunny day? She's worth it! Thank you for your kind support.

History

Bella came to IAR under some pretty unfortunate circumstances. Her owner had to go into hospice and she ended up at a shelter where her status was in danger of being euthanized. We believe this is primarily because of her age, Bella is 10yrs old. However, no one must have told Bella that she is an older gal.

IAR Sponsored Training

IAR subsidizes post-adoption professional training with Jane Marshall (www.cheerydogs.com) to encourage a life-long and successful bond between the dog and the adopter. Group classes for puppies and adult dogs are provided at a substantial discount to IAR adopters.
