If you are looking for the most handsome dog in Durham, then you have to meet Oreo, a cookies-and-cream dream!
Oreo gets along with humans and dogs alike - he lives with another dog and has enjoyed time playing at doggy daycare. When it comes to meeting people, his overexuberance sometimes gets the best of him, though, and can be jumpy when excited. With the help of his foster, Oreo is receiving training to practice his best manners.
A puppy at heart, playing with chew toys is what he does best. As a power chewer, he needs super-durable toys as he learns the difference between chew toys and not chew toys. While he loves a good chew and play session, he is also crate trained for when he needs a little downtime.
Although strong, Oreo knows how to walk on a leash, enjoying regular hikes and walks. Recently, he had fun frolicking in the shallow water at the Eno River! He would love an adopter with an active lifestyle!
All in all, Oreo is a sweet, beautiful boy who can't wait to meet a forever family who will help him flourish with patient training and lots of love.
HEALTH
Oreo is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered.
HISTORY
Oreo lived outside on a chain in a rural county before joining IAR's dog program.
PHYSICAL
Oreo has a white coat with black patches and speckles all over his ears, face, and body. Some folks have called him "Oreo McFlurry!"
