All About Me

This smiling, happy boy is Reacher. Reacher is an absolutely stunning young pup who is a bit large in size, just like his TV namesake. He is medium energy dog and while he loves walks and exploring his yard, he is just as happy laying on the couch with you as long as you are petting him. He is one of the gentlest dogs you will ever meet, and his personality will make you swoon ... so dignified and sweet and loving. He enjoys other dogs but we are not sure about kitties ..... so probably none of those feline type critters in the home please.

He is a bit shy of new people, particularly men, but warms up quickly once you start petting him. He enjoys giving kisses once he trusts you. One of his favorite things to do is lean against you while you are rubbing him, and slowly slide to the floor like he is melting because he enjoys it so much. He also loves his toys, particularly chew toys like Nylabones and Bully Sticks, and enjoys vanilla ice cream, and chicken nuggets.

Reacher does well on a leash, is house trained, and while he prefers not to be crated, is not destructive when left out alone. He is also very quiet - he rarely barks and never whines.

Reacher is a healthy pup who is heartworm negative, up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and has gorgeous teeth (probably because his toothbrush is all he travels with? ...lol ... I guess you have to be a Jack Reacher fan to understand that comment :).

Reacher came from a rural shelter, where he had been brought in by Animal Control as a stray. When they found this beauriful boy, he was running down the road with a chain attached to his collar. He was at the shelter for a few weeks and his owners never came for him. Reacher is VERY MUCH enjoying being off a chain - and is definitely ready to enjoy life to the fullest with his new family.
