Hi there! I'm Pepper Potts, and I'm ready to be your adventurous sidekick! With my catlike reflexes and hound instincts, I'm always up for a challenge. Whether it's using my nose to sniff out treats or mastering new tricks, I'm eager to learn and show off my skills.
I need a detached home, since, like all hounds, I do howl sometimes. But a siren can really get me going--so I'm looking for a home that is not near a fire station, police station, or hospital.
Although the vet thinks I'm about 5 years old, I've got the energy and enthusiasm of a puppy! I've already mastered Sit and can't wait to practice more. Plus, I'm fully crate-trained and house-trained, and you can leave me for 4 hours before I need to go out. I sleep through the night without waking.
My jam is being outdoors! My favorite thing is a leisurely stroll, so I can investigate as many smells as possible along the way. Walks are great, but I'm asking for a fenced backyard where I can play and explore to my heart's content. Just please make sure the fence is six feet to contain my, um, curiosity!
I'm also super-sweet with toddlers, so I'd be the perfect companion if you have a little one. I love my foster parents' little boy and am very gentle with him. You can also trust me with cats. And if you have another pup, count me in--I'd love a furry friend to romp around with.
Ready to add a little spice to your life? Let's meet and see if we're the perfect match!
HISTORY
I happened to be running down the road in a rural county when some nice lady saw me and stopped to ask me if I was lost. I told her yes, I've been out for a long time and I don't know where I came from. So I hopped right into her car! She checked at the local shelter, but no one had reported me. Then she told IAR about me, and here I am!
HEALTH
I am up-to date on my vaccinations now. I somehow got heartworm, however, so I'm being treated for that. I need restricted exercise until my treatment is complete. Soon I will be spayed and microchipped.
PHYSICAL
I am very beautiful, if I do say so myself. I have a lovely chestnut-colored short coat with a white chest, white socks (long in front and crew in back), and white around my muzzle. And my long floppy ears are very cute.
