All About Me

PERSONALITY & BEHAVIORS
Reuben is an eight-pound package sporting 50 pounds of spunk! He loves to romp around with people and dog friends of all sizes, and he wants everyone to know that he's the big boss. Thankfully, his demands are simple: lots of chew toys, lots of treats, and lots of playtime (with the occasional snooze).

As he likes to "talk during playtime, Reuben needs a detached home. He also has an independent streak, so he needs a home where everyone will respect his boundaries--with either adults alone or a home that includes older children who know when to give him space.

Reuben sleeps through the night without a peep, does well with potty breaks every 3-4 hours, and is quickly learning to walk on the leash. He's also fully crate-trained, and runs into his crate for both meals and treats! Highly food-motivated, Reuben learns quickly and will thrive even more with additional training in his adoptive home.

A friendly guy, Reuben enjoys pets and cuddles on his terms. If you call for him and he scampers away, you just might find him on the bed waiting for a belly rub! He plays nicely with others, but he can be a bit stubborn, and can get grumpy if you want him to do something he doesn't want to do.

If you're looking for a lively, playful companion, Reuben might be the perfect fit! He's sure to make you laugh every day with his silly antics, like when he arranges his toys over the floor to find exactly the one he wants.
