All About Me

PERSONALITY & BEHAVIORS
Jazzie is a sweet young girl who wants to be your best friend! She is so happy and wants to spend her days hanging by your side and going for walks. She loves dogs, hasn't met any children, and hasn't seen a cat inside (outside she pays no attention to them). We are working on her not jumping, so at the moment, living with small children would not be best.

A silly girl, Jazzie is very playful and particularly loves one small toy (see it in one of the photos) that has a squeaker and makes a crinkly sound. And it's soft. The toy bin has other soft toys, but this is the one she takes out to play with (so cute to watch!). Then sometimes she just lies down with it. She is not a fan of the hard Kong toys or other hard chew toys.

She gets along very well with the other two dogs in the house (even the one who insists on being the alpha dog!). Although Jazzie is still learning how to walk on a leash, she does great on walks. Always happy to see other dogs, she doesn't run over to them--she just wags her tail and eagerly looks at them.

Jazzie is house-trained and has never had an accident in the house. Clearly she had never been crate-trained. Although scared at first when the crate door was closed, once the crate was moved near her foster family where she could see them, she became comfortable in there. Now, sometimes she goes into her crate to sleep and the door is always left open.

These days, she has free run of her foster home. She gets to sleep wherever she wishes.

Very attached to her people, Jazzie always chooses to be wherever her people are. She's great in the house and doesn't bother any belongings. This gentle girl can't wait to find a loving family of her own!

HISTORY
Jazzie was picked up by animal control in a local county and brought to their animal shelter. After the stray hold was over, she faced euthanasia--but IAR was able to bring her into the program!

HEALTH
Jazzie is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. She is heartworm positive and is being treated.

PHYSICAL
Jazzie's fur is mostly light yellowish-white with streaks of darker yellow.
