PERSONALITY & BEHAVIORS
Wow, is this girl an affectionate, sweety cuddle bunny who loves to be petted! Check out her videos! Elleth would rather be hanging out with her people than anything else. Sitting on a lap is her favorite thing. And she likes cats. And kids. And dogs. Her ideal home would be one where someone works from home or is retired, and who wants to take time out for lots of cuddles.
A great companion indoors and out, she also loves riding in the car. She would rather not be crated and is doing very well in a puppy pen with her bed inside. She sleeps overnight without a sound.
When it's time to potty every few hours, she goes right out and then comes right in.
Ideally, she would live in a home where there is a fenced yard, but it's not a deal breaker.
She is good on a leash (well, OK, she pulls a bit, but can be easily redirected).
She just recently came into the program and hasn't been interacting with the foster parents' resident dogs inside yet, although she can hear them barking and hasn't made a peep. Her foster mom took Elleth on leash outside the fence, and the resident dogs were inside the fence: They barked at Elleth, but she just stood there and looked at them and chilled. What's to bark at? Then her foster mom went for a walk with Elleth and one of the resident dogs, and they both did fine!
Wouldn't you like to adopt such a lovely little miss?
PHYSICAL
Elleth's very short fur is brown flecked with black. Her ears often stick straight up and her tail curls over her back.
HEALTH
Elleth is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and spayed.
HISTORY
Elleth was living in a multigenerational household that was very busy. And she often escaped through a door that was inadvertently left ajar. She was picked up several times by Animal Control and taken to a shelter. Eventually, she was surrendered to a local shelter.
