Cappy is a smart, loveable, cheerful little guy. He enjoys his exercise time as he trots along happily, using all his senses to experience the world. Recently, Cappy has been enjoying 5-mile walks, and his leash manners are fairly good. He has an excellent Sit and Come, and his Stay is improving.
Although he would rather be with his human, he is gaining confidence in spending time alone either lightheartedly patrolling the perimeter of the fenced yard or sunning himself on the deck.
A polite housemate, he honors the house rules (only jumping onto one allowed piece of furniture, not broaching the confines of the dog gate, pausing at doors), does not bother any belongings, and is house-trained. He will go into his crate but does not particularly like the door closed.
Cappy always looks forward to travel time and rides well in the car. He will make a lucky person an excellent companion!
PHYSICAL
Cappy is brown with smatterings of white, black eyeliner around his sweet brown eyes, and floppy ears.
HEALTH
Cappy is up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and neutered. He is temporarily on a few medications for his skin. He recently had a dental cleaning and other dental work done (several teeth are worn down, likely from chewing on his chain).
HISTORY
Prior to coming to IAR, Cappy lived chained on a porch.
