All About Me

PHYSICAL
Miss Sweet Pea has short espresso-colored fur with a large white splash on her chest. Her coat is sleek and soft.

PROFILE
Miss Sweet Pea is a grand, regal beauty! Playful and energetic, she is as sweet as her name suggests! Sweet Pea makes friends with everyone she meets. And if you sit on the ground with her, she will try to climb into your lap.

Sweet Pea is big and strong, and because she is still not sure what is expected of her, she'll need someone who can handle a large dog and give her guidance. As she sometimes doesn't know her own strength when she plays, she needs a home with no small children or cats. Sweet Pea lived with a resident dog for a short while and was very friendly through the gates. She gets excited to meet other dogs and loves to play. Her friends must be patient and love to chase and jump around together.

Sweet Pea is also smart and wants to please. She is potty-trained and crate-trained, and has quickly picked up basic commands like Come, Sit, and Wait, Give Paw, is working on Leave it, and needs a friend who will teach her more. She is also working on leash manners. Her hobbies include playing tug of war, chasing squirrels, and sniffing out hidden treats. Sweet Pea loves exploring in the woods and would be a great dog for someone who likes to go for hikes.

Sweet Pea is full of life, love, and wiggles, and can't wait to find her furever home!

HEALTH
Miss Sweet Pea came into our program with injuries to both her hind legs. She has had surgery on them, and is now healed, Although her hind legs will always be a little wonky, she doesn't let that stop her from running, jumping, and playing as much as any other dog. She is up-to-date on her vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and heartworm negative.
