All About Me

Mama Hera is a lady cat full of fervor for her babies and buttery sweetness for any love this life can offer. Hera was brought to IAR with 6 beautiful kittens. They were found in not the best condition and without food for an unknown number of days but Hera made sure her babies did not go without...like any good mama would. Unfortunately after two weeks in foster care her kittens became suddenly ill with what we discovered was feline panleukopenia, a virus that can be 95% deadly in kittens as young as they were. 4 of her babies succumbed but 2 survived beating the odds...Apollo & Ares. Hera nursed her boys back to a healthy weight and is now ready to find her forever home. Hera is a spunky yet sweet silly girl. She loves to play. She plays with her kittens like she is one. She chases them around, plays with their tails, and loves a good mouse toy. She would love a home with at least one other cat. It takes her a few days to adjust to a new cat but sooner or later they will be the best play buddies. If she goes to a home as a solo kitty she will need plenty of toys and people to play with her. She also enjoys watching the birds and squirrels in her window perch.

All IAR cats will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines at the time of adoption.
