All About Me

River Run is a cheerful and easygoing girl who loves meeting new people! She is full of energy and is thrilled to go with you anywhere! From hanging at outdoor coffee shops to adventures while walking, hiking and running. True to her name, River loves swimming and a good romp in the water.

As long as she gets her morning walk, River is perfectly content staying home during the workday--she alternates between napping and staring out the window until you return home. Then she is content to relax by your feet and revel in belly rubs. Eager to play with dogs of all sizes, River quickly makes friends at the dog park.

River is house-trained and well-mannered; she won't touch your belongings. She is crate-trained but much prefers to be free. A smart girl, she has a firm grasp of basic commands: She knows Sit, Come, Give Paw, Fetch, Down, and Hugs; and can Sit Pretty by standing on her hind legs! Although River is still working on recall and loose-leash walking, she is a quick learner and has been getting better with each practice session.

She sleeps quietly in her bed at night and will not disturb you until you are ready to wake. In the morning, she greets you with small songs of happiness and excitement for the day! River also loves car rides and will happily accompany you around town, peacefully watching the sights go by during the drive.

While she likes kids, River might be a bit too energetic for younger ones (under 10) and is too interested in cats to live peacefully with one. Her perfect home has a fenced yard and plenty of space for her to play fetch with her toys.

River is a gem of a dog who has a perfect blend of lovable energy, intelligence, and relaxed contentment. She cannot wait to find her forever home and be a part of your family!
