Meet Cash of the Sour Patch Kitties

The kitty trio, Pacino, Cash, and Carrie came to IAR from rough beginnings. They were quite spicy and sour earning them the nickname the Sour Patch kitties. And just like the gummies with time, patience, and love, their sourness has turned to sweet. All three love treats, crunchy and squeeze, catnip and silver vine, laser lights, moving play fish and snakes, toy mice, cardboard, and balls and ice on slick surfaces. They enjoy spending their mornings watching the birds take turns at the feeder and the occasional squirrel visit by the porch window.

While these three have come a long way from hissing and hiding, they are still a work in progress. They show their love for you in small ways. Like Cash will headbutt you on the couch for purring rubs he just can't get enough of. Cash's first days in foster care, he was afraid to be seen or heard by humans. Since then he has learned to trust his foster more and more. He now chases behind his brother Pacino even while the TV is on. He loves to play with wand toys or wrestle his brother and sister. He is still adjusting to being held but with time he will get better, especially if treats are involved. He loves a good mouse toy near a rug or on the bed so he can practice his pristine hunting skills of pouncing and fetching as if it is a vole crawling under the ground. There is never a dull moment with this trio. From late night hours of collective zoomies, to playing with rubber toys in the tub, to their cute quirkiness like Cash's faint snore when he is in deep sleep.

Cash would be best adopted with his brother Pacino. They are each others play buddy as well as comfort buddy when stressed. If possible and all three could stay together, your home will have the best of all kitty worlds 🙂
