Scrabble is a lean, lanky fellow with a ton of joie de vivre (joy of life) and the energy to match. Watching him bound around the yard is a wonder -- this guy is an athlete! He's still learning his puppy manners, including walking on a leash and respecting boundaries with the older dog in his foster home. He knows "sit", takes treats gently, is crate trained and sleeps quietly in his crate overnight. But his great skill is fetching -- he loves to run like the wind after a ball and bring it proudly back. He is quiet and chill during car rides and cooperative during bath time.
Because he is working on controlling his puppy-ish energy, Scrabble would be best in a home without small children, and with someone who will commit to working on leash skills. A fenced yard would be ideal but not required if he gets a lot of exercise. Scrabble is smart and eager to please and with patient, positivity-based training, he will make an excellent doggie companion.
HEALTH
Scrabble is up to date on his shots and neutered.
HISTORY
Scrabble was a stray who came into IAR from a local shelter.
PHYSICAL
Scrabble is long and lean (he is working on putting on a few lbs), with long legs, bright brown eyes, a black coat and a pretty white blaze on his chest. He will need to receive regular grooming to prevent mats.
