All About Me

Beautiful light gray with dark gray stripes

Neil, aka Neilbert is sweet and loving with an adventurous soul.
Since Neil was recovering from a leg injury in the first few months of his life he needs a family that understands he missed out on some stuff and needs to make up for lost time.
Neil is well balanced with go go go play time, nap time, and snuggling in bed with his foster parents at night. Neil is very vocal in the cutest way possible and will definitely let you know what he needs, especially for food and to be held.
Neil will need to be adopted with his friend Fern, who has been by his side since day 1. They are a bonded pair, and it is very important that Neil has a kitten friend his age to play with. Neil and Fern have really been there for one another and they have a very sweet friendship, bringing the sugar and spice!
Neil also needs his new family to remember that he was not able to live life to the fullest for a few months and is catching up on lost time. Neil may just have his own agenda and need to play for a bit before cuddle time. Neil plays with Fern a lot and loves for humans to throw the tiny mouse or ball for him... he is working on getting the hang of fetch and he loves a ribbon chaser toy too!

History

Neil came to IAR in November 2020 by way of a good samaritan who found Neil injured. Neil was taken to TVH in Durham where he received x-rays which showed Neil had a broken leg. Neil received surgery that same day to repair his leg and has been on the up and up ever since!

Health

Great health! Neil is in the home stretch of his recovery from a broken leg. His final cast was removed on January 15th. Neil still needs to be monitored for a while while he regains strength and use of his leg.
He will be ready to go to his forever home by end of February
