All About Me

Birdie is a medium-sized black and white tuxedo kitty. Adorable face. Very soft white bib.

If you want to share your life with an engaging kitty companion, Birdie may be the one for you. She was hanging out at a rural gas station, trying to convince someone to take her home. Luckily, her foster mom spotted her from the highway and did a quick U turn. Birdie literally hugged her when she was picked up, and happily settled down for the trip back to Durham. She is everything that a little tuxedo cat should be: highly confident and outgoing, and sweet as pie. Birdie makes friends easily with other humans, but does not want to live with other cats. We have tried to introduce her to kitties in the foster home, but she is not having it. She plays gently with toys and capably entertains herself. She is calm for a young cat- she mainly seems to want human company and to enjoy nature through the window. She is ready to find her own family of people- we don’t know about dogs, but she has a dog-like personality herself, so maybe? Birdie is about one year old, spayed, vaccinated and seems very healthy and robust.

History

Hanging out at a rural gas station in eastern NC just at beginning of the pandemic in March. Otherwise we don’t know her history, but she clearly has been with people in her past, and was so happy to be rescued!

Health

Very robust little cat. Spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, microchipped and ready to go to her new home.
