All About Me

Suzy is a light gray tabby with white socks on her hind paws and a white throat with a black "necklace". She has long hind legs, which give a bounce to her walk.

Suzy seems to have had a rough life in the past and was found scrounging for food at a feral colony in Durham. When approached, she quickly ran to the feeders and started purring and rubbing against their legs, eager for human contact. It was clear that Suzy had been owned before and somehow lost her way back.
Now that she's part of IAR's foster program, she has acclimated wonderfully to being inside and well fed. Suzy loves all people and will trot up to you as soon as you come through the door. Her favorite place is sitting next to you or on your lap purring contentedly. She especially loves to have her head rubbed and told what a beautiful cat she is. Although Suzy will want your company by sleeping next to you and being near you when you watch TV or work on the computer, she is also happy to have alone time and would be perfectly fine by herself. When she gets lonely, she will entertain herself by looking outside at the birds or playing with her toys.
All in all, Suzy has a calm and serene disposition with just the right amount of playfulness. Suzy has not been observed around other animals so it is unclear if she has a preference for other dogs or cats. A nice quiet but loving home would suit Suzy perfectly. If you can find it in your heart to give Suzy a chance at a forever home, you won't regret it.

Suzy was found with a feral colony in Durham but seems to have had a home before. She was spayed before coming to IAR, and her pleasant manner with people shows that she's very well socialized with humans.

I’m at the pet store!

Suzy is staying at Petco Renaissance Parkway right now. You can visit her any time the store is open.
