All About Me

Gracie is a silver gray tabby with some white underneath and lovely green eyes. She is quite large for a lady cat. And she has the cutest tuft of fur that sticks out from under her chin- we call it her soul patch. She has gained a few pounds after moving indoors, and is now on a calorie restricted diet and exercise program.

Gracie was rescued from a difficult life outdoors, and she is such a happy kitty now. She is a true couch potato. She really enjoys her spot on the sofa, better still if her person is beside her. She's a great companion for TV watching, reading, eating, or even some knitting-she is a steady purring presence, but never intrusive. She does like some play time, and occasionally she surprises her foster Mom and herself with unexpected bursts of energy that spur her to gallop around and run up the cat tree at full speed. She can be a bit bashful with new folks initially, but warms up very quickly. She will be a wonderful companion for a lucky family.

History

Gracie was turned out of her home when she was about a year old, after her owner passed away. She had several litters of kittens in the neighborhood, and someone began feeding her and asked for IAR assistance in getting her and kittens fixed. She was too sweet for the streets and was rescued last year.
