Pippin is a handsome brown tabby with a spotty wildcat pattern. He has orange-brown eyes. As an adolescent, Pippin reminds us of a Serval with his long legs and spotty coat. He is a strong, athletic guy!

He is perfect for somebody who views it as a fun challenge to earn a cat's trust and affection. Somebody who has experience with cats and understands that it can take time before a cat is trusting enough to crawl into your lap and purr. Somebody who really values cats for their independent personalities and respects their autonomy to decide when they want to be petted and held. Somebody who understands how to get a strong, athletic, energetic young cat to the vet, even if that cat doesn't particularly like going into a carrier (but then again, what cat does?!). Somebody who will be patient when trying to clip a cat's nails.rnrnPippin is skittish, no question about that. Even around us, he doesn't like when we move too fast and often observes us from across the room atop his perch on the cat tree. If he's napping and I approach him for petting, he sometimes gets startled and thinks about darting away. BUT he's also very friendly /on his own terms./ It is the times when I'm sitting quietly, working on my laptop, when he most wants to come cuddle, and stomp on my keyboard, and purr and roll around in my lap, and touch our noses together - so cute!rnrnHe loves watching the bird feeder outside, he will go absolutely insane trying to catch the occasional fly or moth in the house, and he loves to chase the laser pointer. He's well-mannered and uses the litter box faithfully.

Are you the somebody who would be perfect with Pippin?
