Akhlys had a tough life on the street before making it into foster care. She was practically on death's doorstep, anemic and weighing only four pounds when she was brought inside. She has probably had several litters of kittens in her life, and she was feeling pretty yucky when she was rescued due to some ovarian cysts, which were discovered during her spay procedure. She has flourished in foster care. <br /> She is truly one of the most lovely and loving cats we've ever met. She wants to be with you ALL the time (which gets a bit interesting when it's time to leave the house--her new home will need to be careful about her trying to follow folks out the door!). <br />She is not your typical independent cat who can amuse herself for hours every day. She really needs a lot of attention from her humans. She is not particularly playful, though. She mostly just wants to love and be loved on. She has never met a cat she didn't like (and is happiest when she has another kitty or two to cuddle with), and she works hard to keep the big dogs in line in her foster home. Akhlys is an absolute gem, and will make a wonderful addition to just the right home.
