Isis is an onyx/bronze Egyptian Mau mix with a sleek dark body and a long thin tail and pointed ears typical of the breed. Her deep green eyes are mesmerizing. She has white whiskers on one side of her face and dark on the other side!

Isis and her sister Cleo were rescued from an abandoned tractor trailer out near RDU Airport when they were about 3 months old. Isis is a quirky, quiet girl most of the time. From a window perch, she loves to watch... people, birds, other cats, whatever is moving outside or inside unless its a toy. Then she jumps into action, pouncing, jumping, chasing non-stop until the motion ends or until she can drag the toy off to a spot where she can have it all to herself away from her sister, Cleo. Isis is a bit reserved when meeting new people (typical of the Egytpian Mau breed) but she is easily engaged with a wand toy and will soon climb into your lap with deep purrs and lots of love. All she asks for is a little patience, coaxing and canned food as a reward so that SHE can come to YOU. At that point, you will have a dedicated friend for life. Isis and Cleo play together, sleep together, eat together and are very tightly bonded so we'd like to see them adopted as a pair. The girls currently live with other cats but don't have experience with dogs or children.
