Andy Rooney, aka Andy is a loving, sweet and playful young lad, a great all around young cat who is always happy to see you. Andy is a talker and a toucher who likes to lay at your feet or perch where he can reach out and touch you. He enjoys head and chin scratches, getting brushed and rubbing up against you. Andy loves his humans, foster pals and he absolutely adores kittens, enjoying catnip, wand toys and the laser as if he were still a kitten himself! You will often find Andy sitting by the window on his cat perch, watching the wildlife.

Andy is FELK negative, FIV positive, neutered, current on vaccines, micro-chipped and litter box trained. Andy will be a calm and loving companion as an only kitty or with another friendly, laid back kitty to pal around with.

History

Andy carries the FIV virus, a common virus in cats that does not affect humans or any other species and it is not easily transmitted between cats. Unless an infected cat viciously bites another cat, FIV is not transmitted by sharing litter boxes, eating out of the same food bowls or by licking or grooming. Most well cared for cats with FIV live long and healthy lives. Keeping Andy indoors in a low stress environment and on a high quality, nutritious diet are key for his continued well being.
