All About Me

Finn is a handsome buff orange and white long-haired kitty, and lost one eye along the way. He looks like a cool surfer dude, with long reddish blond locks that always look like he could use a combing.

Finn is a very affectionate kitty and engaging cat, and is always looking to be with his person. He is very quick to jump in a lap, and usually begins with trying to give kisses and hugs, then settles down for a long nap. He is so relaxed that he will roll to the floor if you stand up too quickly. He is still young at heart, and likes to play with a certain few favorite toys, which he carries around from place to place. He gets along with other cats, but is not particularly fond of them, and really prefers the company of humans. He needs a home where he can be completely protected, since his behavior is pretty defenseless and he only has one eye. He would much prefer a home where he can get alot of gentle attention, and will not thrive when left alone for long periods.

History

Finn was a stray in a Durham neighborhood for about a month during the winter. He scavenged for food by sneaking into a dog pen to steal pieces of kibble. He found an IAR volunteer working with neighborhood feral kitties, and happily accepted wet cat food then jumped in the car and went home with them. At the time he was rescued, he had a badly injured eye which could not be saved. He had surgical removal in March, which has healed well and he is now ready to find his family. Finn is now staying at Petco / Eastgate.
