All About Me

He's got an adorable round face with gorgeous yellow eyes rimmed in blue-green. He's got fluffy ear tufts and a soft, medium length coat. His eyes have a lighter "eye liner" and the rest of his coat is buff colored.

Little Peanut has come such a long way! When he was originally brought into his foster home, he was a scared, feral 5 week old. Now, he's a social butterfly who loves attention! We believe he may have some kind of Ragdoll in his genes (his brother looked exactly like one) due to the fact that he loves to be held and will relax into peoples' shoulders. He also will practically go limp when he is picked up. All it takes is for him to flash that sweet face of his and everyone instantly falls in love. He enjoys the company of other cats and needs to go a home where he will have a new friend to hang out with. He does still get a little frightened in new places and with new animals, but he warms up pretty quickly with some encouragement and reinforcement. He loves to play, of course, but isn't a high energy kind of guy. He is very laid back and will allow all kinds of handling, so taking him to the vet or medicating him should be a breeze. He has to be neutered before going to his new home, which will be scheduled for June.

He was part of a litter born to a feral colony of females in downtown Durham. They were found living in a compost pile in someone's back yard.
