Comet and her sisters, Star and Nova, were the offspring of a member of a large outdoor colony that was being fed by a kind lady. Their mother, Swirl, brought the three Heavenly Sisters to the lady's home to be fed, as it was time to wean them. The lady brought them in and socialized them. The cats in this colony are remarkably healthy, probably because the influx of new cats into the colony is high, keeping the health problems arising from inbreeding to a minimum. Many cats from this group have been adopted into loving forever homes and have lived long healthy lives.
