Hugo has a long thick coat of silky black fur that has a lovely reddish sheen in the sunlight. His sisters are the spitting image of a Maine Coon, and Hugo's curly white ear tufts suggest that he's part Maine Coon, too. See more pictures of Hugo at http://picasaweb.google.com/fosterkits/HalloHugo#.
Like his namesake from LOST, Hugo is loyal and lovely to his favorite kitty and human friends. He is a mama's boy who purrs the instant you touch him and he likes nothing better than to walk around the house draped over his foster mom's shoulder. Mostly Hugo is a laid back kitten, and that is never more apparent than when he casually wanders up onto his foster mom's lap and leans up against her the same way a Great Dane would. He has a reputation in his foster home for being a kitty-therapist because he is always the first one to befriend the new kid on the block, coaxing him into a romp around the house or a bout of wrestling.
Hugo and his sisters Sofia and Jolie were living outside a nursing care facility across the street from NC State until they were about 10 weeks old. We brought them inside from that dangerous urban environment, and Hugo popped out of our trap purring.
