All About Me

Corky is black & white tuxedo female. She has huge curly white whiskers above her eyes and on her nose.

Corky is an active and curious young cat. She is a bit shy at first, mainly because she was born and lived outside for the first 6 months of her life. Since coming to live in her foster home, Corky has blossomed. When she knows and trusts you, she is the most loyal cat around. She comes to meet me at the door when I come home from work and loves to sit on my lap and be petted and purr. Corky gets along well with other cats and enjoys energetic chase and play games. Corky will do best in a quiet, low-key environment. She has a unique scratchy meow and a quiet, but persistent purr.

History

Corky and her brother, Lucky, were born behind a business in Durham. They lived on a dangerous, busy road. They were trapped as feral cats, which is why the tips of their left ears are clipped. Their foster mother realized quickly that they were not wild cats, just shy. She gave them time to become used to living indoors with humans, and they repaid her patience and kindness by becoming very loving and gentle cats. They are looking for a quiet forever home where their sweet and loyal natures will be appreciated.
