Big ol' orange tabby boy with gorgeous markings and huge eyes.
Nathaniel is sweet. He is also HUGE. He is a gentle giant who is great with the other cats he meets. He has taken every one of his foster siblings under his wing. Currently he is being fostered with a little girl kitty, Cookie, C-11-327, and he just adores her. Natie is a little afraid of dogs, so we recommend a home without dogs for him. He is EASY-going, and low-maintenance. We foster parents appreciate undemanding kitties like Nathaniel! He is a joy to have around and hang out with. Nathaniel would love to be adopted in a home with another friendly cat. (If you are looking for two kitties that love each other to be adopted together, please also consider his foster sister Cookie!) Nathaniel is healthy and litterbox trained. This great cat has not had any adoption applications since we rescued him in 2010. We can't understand it, as he is about as sweet as they come! Please consider giving Nathaniel his own forever home!

Nathaniel had a major shock when his elderly owner had a stroke and could no longer care for him. Sadly, the owner's new caregiver took Nathaniel to a kill shelter where he was in danger of euthanasia. He was in shock for a few days, the shelter workers tell us, and could not process his abandonment. Luckily, an IAR foster Mom could not resist this sweet boy and brought him into IAR foster care where he is now waiting for his forever home with a lucky adopter.
