Squeaky was found as a stray, but had obviously been someone's pet at some point. Unfortunately, he was hit by a car and suffered a broken pelvis, causing one of his back legs to be unusable. Squeaky's hind leg muscles have weakened due to the nerve damage he sustained during his injury. Over the last 6 months, he has regained some use of his leg but it is unclear at this time if he will ever be able to walk on his leg again. Squeaky is being monitored by a local orthopedic veterinary surgeon. It is possible that Squeaky will need surgery in the future to amputate his leg, depending on his healing progress. We are seeking donations to cover his current veterinary expenses and possible surgical amputation, if necessary.
