Willie and his brother Moody are part of a group of very sick cats brought in to IAR. A Good Samaritan who had been caring for them learned that her job would require her to move out of state. Local resources were limited, and some of the cats were shot, possibly by a disgruntled neighbor, so arrangements were made for some of the kittens to be placed in IAR foster care. When the kittens arrived, most of them were very sick. Dr. Kay Bishop and Ann Pagnotta of New Hope Animal Hospital, along with several IAR volunteers, set up a medical triage unit and emergency surgery was performed on Willie to treat his neck wounds and remove one eye. He is now safe and sound. Willie is currently living in a loving foster home with dogs and cats including his brother Moody (who also had an eye removed). Willie is waiting to find a forever home in need of a special kitty that against all odds is still with us today. [Read more about Willie and Moody's rescue here.]
