All About Me

Moody is a stunning white lynx point Siamese with only one handsome blue eye! He has white feet.

Moody (named after Mad Eye Moody from the Harry Potter series) is very friendly. He has never met a cat, dog or person he did not love! Moody often gets so excited that he chirps while being petted and will even give you a nudge if he feels you are not doing your "love Moody" duties properly. He also likes to climb cat trees and take naps in sunbeams. Anyone that meets him can hear how extraordinarily happy he is by his intense purr!

History

Moody and his brother Willie are part of a group of very sick cats brought in to IAR. A Good Samaritan who had been caring for them learned that her job would require her to move out of state. Local resources were limited, and some of the cats were shot, possibly by a disgruntled neighbor, so arrangements were made for some of the kittens to be placed in IAR foster care. When the kittens arrived, most of them were very sick. Dr. Kay Bishop and Ann Pagnotta of New Hope Animal Hospital, along with several IAR volunteers, set up a medical triage unit and emergency surgery was performed for Moody to treat his leg wounds and remove one eye. He is now safe and sound. Moody lives in a loving foster home with other cats and dogs including his brother Willie (who also had an eye removed). He is waiting to find a forever home in need of a special kitty who against all odds is still with us today. [Read more about Moody and Willie's rescue here.]
