Jay is a handsome gray tabby with a white chest, white paws and large golden eyes.
Jay is one of the funniest cats we have ever known. He is a long and lanky young male who is sometimes goofy and clumsy, but always entertaining. When he bursts into a room or tumbles down the stairs he reminds us of Kramer on Seinfeld. Even though he is a clown, Jay has a polite and gentle nature. He gets along with all the other cats in his foster family and readily welcomes newcomers. Everyone is invited when it�s time to play. Jay has his special morning ritual. As soon as we get up, Jay and a resident cat friend run to the bathtub and wait for us to turn on the faucet. The two cats spend at least 10 minutes drinking and playing together in the tub.

Jay and his brother, Gucci, were surrendered to the Durham APS when they were 3 months old. They spent a couple of months at the shelter cooped up together in a crate, but remained friendly and outgoing despite their confinement. They quickly became staff favorites and were taken into foster care. Free at last to behave like the active young cats they are, they immediately charmed their foster family. They are now waiting to work their magic with their forever families.
