19 year old • Male
17 lbs., deep rich stripes with golden brown under-tones, a tuxedo tabby with four perfect socks, jewel-green eyes, coral pink heart nose. Identical to little brother Oscar, except the brown tabby version. Did I mention a little chubby? Since being here 3 weeks he has lost 2.5 pounds.
Not too long ago, an elderly man unable to care for his long-term "fosters" gave them to IAR, spiraling the feline brothers into a strange world of change. As evidenced by Thomas's size, the old man's greatest joy was feeding the boys. As it happens, Thomas loves to eat, making his transition to a new place easier than it has been for his thinner brother. The two tabbies are handsome book-ends, one brown tabby, the other ginger -- with identical socks on their substantial feet. Besides eating he enjoys being groomed, grooming his brother, sitting by his foster mom as she works. Thomas is very nurturing and kind towards Oscar. Please consider adopting Thomas and his little brother, making their story a happy one. They have been "foster" cats way too long.
Thomas and his brother were the primary focus of an elderly couple, but adoption never occurred, as half of the couple left and the other became disabled. These guys are ready for LIFE in their permanent home!
