All About Me

Joey is a large brown tabby with white chest, belly, paws, and facial markings. There's a cute splotch of color next to his nose. Classic tabby M marking over light green eyes. He's a bit of a fat cat, plush and soft. Yes, he needs to lose a few pounds.

Joey, aka Joe-Joe, is a friendly, affectionate cat who likes to be around people. He's always up for petting and massages. He even enjoys belly rubs. You can entice him to play even though he's pretty laid back and calm.

Best Friends

Joey would be especially happy to find a home with another cat from his foster home:

History

It's unclear where Joey and his sibling, Lexi, started their lives. Their foster mom doesn't know why they lost their first home. They were almost a year old when they moved in with a sweet, married couple. Their mom and dad took lots of pictures of Joey and Lexi, sharing them on social media with family and friends. There is no doubt that the cats were very much loved. This summer, however, the whole world changed for Joey and Lexi. They tragically lost their parents in a car crash. An IAR volunteer saved them from going to the shelter.

Health

Joey's mom took him to his vet in May, and he had a great checkup. The only notes were that he needed to go on a diet and had mild dental tartar. He is neutered, current on his vaccinations, and microchipped.
