4 year old • Male
ADORABLE all black with super soft and fine short hair. Will probably be on the small side as an adult.
This is the snuggliest, sweetest kitten I have ever met. He's slightly shyer than his brother mars but still has plenty of kitten energy and playfulness, and gets along splendidly with the foster family's 6 month old kittens (they even spoon and groom him from time to time), and is not afraid of the family's yappy chihuahua mix. His favorite cuddle move is to curl up on to your collar bone while you are reclining in a chair and purr away against your neck. Most cats go crazy in the cat carrier, but you won't hear a peep out of him (besides some purrs) if he is with his brother.

Mars would be especially happy to find a home with another cat from his foster home:
This little baby is a miracle. He has come SO FAR since being found huddled up with his brother Pluto on the side of a country road in Efland in early October 2020, severely malnourished and dehydrated weighing just 7 ounces. His movements were slow and stiff, and he his appetite and motivation to eat independently poor, for a few months. There were times when we weren't sure he would make it. He spent his first month in foster care at the home of an expert in treating underweight and bottle fed kittens, then returned to the home of the family who found him on the road to be fostered and spoiled until he found his forever family. There were so many big little victories along the way, like the first time he ate on his own without coaxing, the first time he swatted at a kitten toy, the first time he jumped up on furniture, the first time he cuddled and purred... but now he does it all, and is the perfect kitten.
Now in very good health, but still currently requires special cat food for GI issues. Hopefully he can be transitioned to regular cat food soon. He will be neutered in early January and hopefully be adopted with his brother Pluto.
