All About Me

Monut is a true mixed breed little black dog. She has medium length, soft fur, sweet inquisitive eyes and cute perky ears. Her toes and chest are dipped in white. She's still growing and will be a medium sized dog.

Monut is lots of fun! She's full of puppy energy and silliness while also knowing how to nap and snuggle when it counts. She loves being outside - picking up sticks and pinecones to toss around and getting her fill of zoomies each day. On walks she is attentive and curious about the world. She would love a fenced yard of her own and would make a great hiking partner. Once she's done with her fun, she's happy to curl up on the couch next to you for a good snooze. Watch out for her snores!

In the house, Monut does a good job sticking to her toys and loves chewing bones or whipping ropes around. She loves her people and wants to be part of all the action. Monut does well with a routine that includes play times and napping through the day while her foster parents work from home. Like any puppy, she can be mouthy when excited but is learning her manners day by day. Because of her mouthiness, she will do best in a home with adults or older children while she continues to learn. Monut is very smart and enjoys eating her meals through puzzle toys and practicing her basics everyday. Monut would love to go to puppy classes! She will thrive with continued mental and physical stimulation each day.

While Monut is still hesitant about going into her crate, she does well with gentle encouragement and happily naps inside with a cushy bed and peanut butter Kong and sleeps through the night. She's making great progress with potty training and has started to indicate when she needs to go out. Monut loves playing with her 65lb foster dog brother but, understandably, her puppy energy and persistence is not every dog's ideal. Monut is a smart pup with a zest for life and will make a great companion.
