Mater is black with splashes of white: on his nose, neck, and chest; and he has white socks.
Mater is just the sweetest boy and he’s always smiling! He will make a wonderful family dog or a doggo for an active person. He's very playful and enjoys trying to play fetch (he hasn't quite gotten the hang of bringing the ball back yet, but he keeps trying!)
Mater loves to play with other dogs and even lives with a cat who enjoys snuggling up to him. He also loves to snuggle up to you on the couch or lie by you on the floor.
Mater is crate-trained and knows what you mean when you say, Go in your house.
He LOVES treats and will do what you ask him to do just to get an extra one. Mater also loves lying on the deck (see photo). He is excellent with older kids (he hasn’t been around young kids so kids over the age of 10 are probably best). Mater is currently in a foster home with a young man with autism and is wonderful with him.
This sweetie is looking for a loving home where he can live with someone who has plenty of energy to keep him active and playful.
