13 year old • Male
Long, thin frame with orange tabby patches
Being born on (or around) the 4th of July, his foster family decided Independence and his siblings needed names that reflect the occasion. Independence is quite the character. He hogs the food dish and swats away his siblings but is the first one to curl up in his foster mom's lap. He puts up a good front but is really a big softy. He needs a home that includes one of his siblings, or another kitten or young cat, to play and grow with. Independence is FeLV/FIV negative, litter box trained and will be ready for a home after he is neutered in early October. Independence, Freedom, Liberty and America were born in an outdoor colony that is cared for by a wonderful IAR volunteer. When she saw how sweet these babies were she just couldn't let them live outside and brought them into the IAR foster system.
