Named after a Dolly Parton song, this affectionate fellow is eager to jump into your arms, claim a seat in your lap, and generally reduce the distance between you to approximately zero. He takes togetherness seriously. If he can get a little closer, he’d like to.

He also loves to be brushed. A little grooming, a little admiration, nowhere else you urgently need to be—that’s Eugene’s idea of a headline performance. You provide the brush; he provides the extremely pleased cat.

When his caretaker moved out of state, Eugene and his companions, Applejack and Jolene, abruptly lost their home base. Now he’s delighted to be indoors and secure, soaking up the comforts of a safe place and someone to cuddle. His tour dates can be limited to the couch, thank you.

Eugene gets along well with his original bandmates, and an adoption with Applejack or a reunion with the whole trio would be welcome. He’s also open to other suitable arrangements. What matters most is a home where he feels secure, loved, and invited to participate—preferably from your lap.
