Betsy (aka “Mama”) has officially retired from motherhood— she is ready for the pampered life she deserves! This sweet girl was rescued from outside with her kittens. She raised her own litter and then went above and beyond by taking in two orphaned kittens. She has earned her retirement!
When Betsy first arrived, she was a little skinny, a little scraggly, and understandably unsure about people. Just look at her now! With good food, love, playtime, and the comforts of indoor life, she has blossomed into a healthy, gorgeous girl with the softest, shiniest coat—and an increasingly affectionate personality.
Betsy may be shy when meeting new people, but once she gets to know you, she becomes your little greeter. She'll come running over with sweet meows and chirps, rub against your legs, and even stand up on her back feet to reach up for pets. She loves playtime, especially chasing her favorite little "dancing" toy around.
While Betsy isn't quite a dedicated lap cat yet, she's definitely lap curious. She's still figuring out all the wonderful things that come with being a pampered house cat. She's even been practicing being picked up and getting a little forehead kiss before being gently put back down.
Betsy is looking for a family who will appreciate her for exactly who she is: a sweet, gentle girl who may take a little time to trust, but who has so much love to give once she knows you're her person. After everything this girl has done for everyone else, Betsy is ready for her happily-ever-after.
