Basket Case was found in someone's backyard injured and unable to put weight on one of her back legs. She arrived at IAR in a laundry basket (hence the name!), and despite having a pelvic injury she was quietly making biscuits while receiving meds. After several weeks of crate rest, she is fully healed and now ready to embrace the wonderful life of a full-time indoor cat!

Despite having been a stray, it took her no time to get used to and enjoy human company. She loves playing with the wand toy, Churu treats, ear scratches, chin rubs, and would give you gentle head butts to remind you to keep petting her.

Basket Case is a little shy at first in a new environment - her foster mom is slowly introducing her to the indoor life (that is not a crate!) She seems okay with other cats, but we're not sure how she feels about dogs. This sweet, beautiful diluted tabby is looking for a forever home with people who would enjoy some adorable company and also be patient to let her blossom on her own time.
