Because Sunny (& Snapple!) is younger than 6 months of age, it is IAR policy that she must be adopted with another kitten or into a household with a young cat (general guideline of 2 years or younger but on a case by case basis).

Sunny and Snapple may not be related, but they've become an unlikely little team.

Sunny was found as a tiny kitten outside a Bojangles alongside her brothers. From the very beginning, she's been exactly what her name suggests: warm, and easy to love.

She adores both playtime and cuddle time and is just as happy chasing toys as she is curled up in a lap. Friendly and affectionate, Sunny seems to make friends wherever she goes.

Snapple's story started a little differently. He spent three days trapped in a storm drain before being rescued and arrived understandably unsure about the world. While other kittens immediately assumed humans existed to provide food and attention, Snapple needed a little more time to figure things out.
Since then, he's made incredible progress.

He's discovered the joys of toys, cozy naps, kitten wrestling, and - most importantly - Churu. Snapple takes his favorite treat seriously and has been known to perform quality-control inspections of the entire package. In fact, he'll happily bite the wrapper and adorably attempt to wrestle it right out of your hand if he thinks you're taking too long to serve it.

Sunny has helped show him that people can be pretty great, too.

While Sunny has fully embraced the concept of laps, Snapple is still evaluating them. For now, he's more likely to settle in beside your leg, close enough to keep you company while maintaining a small amount of plausible deniability. He likes being near his people and feline friends, and as his confidence grows, more of his playful and sweet personality continues to emerge.

Together, they balance each other beautifully. Sunny brings confidence, affection, and a loving presence. Snapple brings curiosity, resilience, and the joy of watching a shy kitten discover that the world isn't such a scary place after all.
