Because Makima is younger than 6 months of age, it is IAR policy that she must be adopted with another kitten or into a household with a young cat (general guideline of 2 years or younger but on a case by case basis).

***Bonded to Ling***

Meet the independent and brave Makima. She sees no reason not to think she knows what’s best for herself and those around her. She may decide to spend a whole day in the closet. Not because she is scared – but because this is how she is going to do it. As long as her sister Ling is around, she will be checked on regularly. Then at the appropriate time Makima will appear, tell you she needs to be fed and rubbed, and take on the world. For a creature as beautiful and confident as Makima, the world is full of potential adventures. One can chase flies, take a flying jump on Ling, walk on her hind legs while trying to get to the ceiling fan with her front legs, or use a litter box as a Zen garden and constantly arrange the sand.
