Derby is possibly the smallest adult cat this seasoned foster has ever seen–– but she might also have the biggest heart! This sweet little one is shy until she finds out that you provide chin scritches, and from that point on she makes herself very available, always loafing and purring nearby. She happily comes out to greet visitors, and gives delighted tail shakes when she finds out that they, too, know the secret of the chin scritch. Her energy is gentle and calm, and she has been such a lovely and grounding presence to have around. She has done well in foster homes with both cats and dogs––word on the street is that she was first brought into the shelter because she wanted to befriend so many dogs on walks (she might like a dog of her very own!). The perfect human for Derby would be someone who could give her a little time and space to decompress and blossom, with lots of pets and sweetness. She is going to make someone so very happy, what a special girl.
