Turbo and Demi are bonded sisters and must be adopted together. They are a pair, a team, a tiny colony of two, and they come as one.

These girls were born in a feral colony north of Durham. When they were found, the elder grandmother cat of the colony was caring for them, so we can only assume they lost their mother to some danger of the outdoors. We brought them in when they each weighed barely a pound, and they have been loved on and watched over every day since. The lessons grandmother taught them (be cautious, trust slowly, stay alert) are still part of who they are. And honestly, given where they came from, that wisdom makes complete sense. But Turbo and Demi are blossoming— quietly, on their own timeline—in the most wonderful way.

🐾 TURBO
Turbo is a tall, lean brown tabby with vivid black stripes, bright yellow eyes, and a crisp defined stripe on her right cheek. She is brave, bold, and enthusiastically social. She loves the resident cats in her foster home with her whole heart, greeting every single one with an exuberant head butt and a full body rub, tail included. She was the first to explore every new corner of the house and the first to discover the screened porch (which she loves!). Turbo goes out and scouts the world, then brings the information back to Demi.

🐾 DEMI
Demi is a little shorter and stout in the most endearing way, with the same stunning brown tabby coat and deep golden-amber eyes. Her right cheek stripe looks softly smudged at the edges, a little different from her sister's. Once you know, you always know. Demi watches Turbo go first and follows when she is ready, usually just a few days behind. She has come so far with her foster mom and now actively asks for pets and curls up on the couch right beside her, especially for a Churu! With the resident cats she is gentle, warm, and wonderfully respectful of everyone's boundaries, even the unreasonable ones set by the alpha female of the house.

🏠 WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR
Turbo and Demi have had the great joy of living as part of a bigger cat family and they know that’s what they want! They need at least one resident cat who would be open to gaining two fantastic younger sisters. They will bring play, personality, and a whole lot of warmth to the right home while learning from the confident and comfort your resident cat already has in your home.

They are enthusiastic players who will chase a wand toy or laser pointer for hours. They love big open windows, the screened in porch life, and cat enrichment videos on YouTube. They are great eaters, impeccable litter box users, and genuinely lovely company to have around. They are just not huggers. Not yet, anyway, and Demi is getting closer every day.

You are the kind of person who feels honored, not frustrated, when a cautious animal chooses to trust you. You have at least one cat at home who would welcome two sweet and spirited younger sisters into the fold. You understand that love sometimes looks like a cat sitting beside you on the couch, or an enthusiastic head butt from a cat who was absolutely certain you needed one right then.
