Better than Black Friday- the Independent Animal Rescue Holiday Sale is Back!
We had a great response to our Holiday Sale last year, and our generous donors are once again offering a treasure trove of beautiful gifts. So, we’re ready to compete with Jeff Bezos (except for that space travel thing…) Your participation in IAR fundraising events supports the work of IAR in serving an average of 2,500 animals each year- placing 700 cats and dogs in loving forever homes and spaying and neutering 1800 feral cats and community pets per year.

What you need to know:
- Like last year, the 2021 IAR Holiday Sale will be online and fixed-price (no bidding) using the Event Gives platform.
- New this year- a 24-hour online pre-sale preview of the items beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 11. Take advantage of the pre-sale preview to find your must-haves and be ready to buy when the sale opens.
- The Sale will start on Friday, November 12, at 7 p.m. and conclude on Thursday, November 18, at 7 p.m.
- Pick-up days will be held at the IAR Office, 3321 Guess Rd, Durham, NC 27705 on Saturday, November 20th from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Sunday, November 21st from noon until 3 p.m. For those not able to attend either day, please email [email protected] to let her know you need to make an appointment to pick up your purchases.
You can expect to see high-quality hand-crafted decorative and functional items for holiday gifts, Santa surprises, and for gifting yourself. There are beautiful things from other countries, from museum shops, and well known artisans. If you missed the triceratops hatchling at the PCA, a charming, petite pair awaits you at the IAR Holiday Sale. There are exquisite hand-knit baby items for grandmothers-to-be and expecting mothers. Spectacular holiday theme sculptures from Durham’s famous Vega Metals are being offered. We have many special ornaments that are unique, lovely, comical, sentimental- including an angel kitty tree-topper! And so much more…
