All About Me

Luca is a beautiful yellow lab mix with an expressive and endearing face. He is mostly cream with golden tan ears and highlights, deep chocolate brown eyes and adorable eyebrows. His cute wide muzzle has just a little extra jowls thrown in.

Luca is an incredibly sweet, loving dog. He is well-mannered and playful, yet has no problem settling in for downtime. He doesn't jump up on people and politely asks if he's allowed to sit with you on the couch by laying his face on the seat next to you. He recently started spending the day out of his crate and with a midday walk is doing great so far!

Luca walks well on a leash and really enjoys meeting new dogs and people. He can be silly and would do well with a buddy, either with or without a fenced yard, but would also be OK as an only dog, as long as you walk him and have a fenced yard for him to run and play in. He's happy to have you rub him anywhere, anytime, and will ask for but doesn't demand attention.

Luca is very fond of my cat and has liked the children we've met. He's a normal, playful, young dog, so he may be overwhelming for toddlers and very young children, even though he likes them.

Luca is crate-trained if you want him to sleep in there, and is also a great bed buddy. He's also house-trained and will quietly let you know when he needs to go out by staring at you in "that" way. Luca is very food-motivated and therefore pretty easy to train. He'll politely sit and look at you for permission to eat and then he digs in!
